Individual Financial Assistance
The VSA Financial Assistance Program is designed to support former serving veterans who are not able to engage in sport and recreation activities due to their personal financial situation.
Before applying for VSA financial assistance, please review our Financial Assistance Criteria to see if you are eligible.
We are here to help! If you require any assistance with your application or have further questions you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on (02) 8088 0388.
Although we will do our best to support you, we can’t always support everyone due to budget – particularly larger requests. However, there are other organisations that may be able to support. For example:
- Department of Veteran Affairs
- Your local RSL sub-Branch or Club
- State Department of Sport and Recreation
VSA staff are happy to help explore some of these other options with you. Simply get in contact with our team!
Program Financial Assistance
If you are seeking support for an existing or new program that will support veterans to improve their health and wellbeing there is currently funding available through the Department of Veteran’s Affairs through their Veteran and Community Grants.
VSA is looking to expand our grants program to support initiatives in future that will make a genuine difference to veterans and their families. Watch this space for more information!
Financial Assistance Program Funding
Veteran Sport Australia was established by RSL Welfare and Benevolent Institution (RSL WBI) in 2018.
To ensure VSA can provide services to both current ADF members and ex-serving veterans and their families, RSL WBI engaged RSL NSW to deliver VSA on its behalf.
Where costs are incurred for services provided to former serving veterans and their families these are met by RSL WBI. If the program supports current serving ADF veterans, RSL NSW funds these services. This ensures both organisations are operating within their defined purpose.
